


Nurse Practitioners are advanced practice nurses who provide high quality healthcare services similar to those of a physician. Nurse Practitioners at Bux-Mont Oncology diagnose and treat a wide range of oncological and hematological problems. Besides clinical care, Nurse Practitioners focus on health promotion, disease prevention, health education and counseling. At Bux-Mont Oncology, the Nurse Practitioners work closely with the physicians to provide comprehensive care for our patients.
Services provided by Nurse Practitioners at Bux-Mont Oncology Include:
- Order, perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays.
- Perform histories and physican examinations
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions
- Prescribe medications and chemotherapy treatments
- Prescribe physician therapy and durable medical equipment
- Prescribe home health and hospice care.
Nurse Practitioners have graduate, advanced education and advanced clinical training beyond their initial registered nurse preparation. Nurse practitioners must have a master's degree. The Nurse Practitioners at Bux-Mont Oncology are nationally certified and practice under the rules and regulations of the state of Pennsylvania.

Kathleen Henderson, MSN, CRNP, brings a wealth of experience focusing on advanced practice oncology nursing. Her extensive clinical experience in the management of oncology patients is invaluable to the patients in the Doylestown office.
